About UK-Racketball
UK-Racketball.com is an online information source for all issues relating to racketball, including an online shop. UK-Racketball is also an events organisation company which runs and promotes tournaments. The mission statement that we made in our initial business plan still contains the core of our company aims and is included bellow. "To provide a fair and reliable service to our customers whilst, helping to promote and develop the sports of squash and racketball"
UK-Racketball is a new company that has been set up by Mark Fuller and William Bennett. The last thing we wanted to be was another faceless internet site so we thought we would keep you in the picture of what we do and what were hoping UK-Racketball will become. Below we have included how we believe our company should be run as well as some articles on how the idea for UK-racketball came about and a short page on who we each are and what we do. UK-Racketball's founder Mark is also a professional squash player currently ranked in the top 200 in the world. Please visit his personal blog on what life is like for an aspiring sportsman. The construction of UK-Racketball, how it all started
As a company UK-Racketball has established a number of key vows and a general ethos to abide by: UK-Racketball will strive to bring an end to faceless websites by showing our commitment and passion about the sport in providing the best service possible with the most up to date, relevant and exciting information. We strongly believe that racketball will be the next big racket sport in the UK and will do everything in our power to promote and expand the sport. UK-Racketball will always conduct its businesses ethically and will act in the best interest of the sport and all those involved.
UK-Racketball has a big vision for the future which can be summarised as follows: In 2010 UK-Racketball with the help of England Squash and Racketball we will be running the first every UK-Racketball tour. We will run five tournaments during the summer with the aim of helping to promote the sport in clubs where racketball has yet to emerge as well as giving the UK's already strong racketball players a chance to compete in an organised tour for the first time. In 2011 UK-RB will be expanding and running another series with a total of 10 tournament destinations all round the UK. We will also be looking to initiate racketball within BUCS, British University and Collage Sport, to drive interest and draw new players into the sport from within Universities all over Britain as well as run junior tournaments for the first time. UK-Racketball will continue to update and improve the site with the aim of providing the best service possible for all our users, whether they are looking for beginner sessions or world class tournaments. Our site will continually strive to be inclusive of all players in every aspect of the game. Ultimately UK-Racketball’s long term initiative is to expand and promote racketball on a Global scale. Through the creation of websites in France, Australia, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain and New Zealand we will advertise and campaign to make racketball a well established, thriving and competitive sport.
