National Junior Racketball Championships
Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th June 2010

 

Hallamshire Tennis & Squash Club were proud to be the host club of the first national Junior Racketball Championships. An action packed weekend, played in a great spirit, produced some great racketball and close matches.
More than 60 Juniors took part in both boys & girls events from u13 to u19 level, with all competitors guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches over the 2 days. Players came to compete from all parts of the UK with a significant number from the host club. The club is already looking forward to holding a bigger and better event next year.

Notes

• The boys u15 final took over 1 hour 40 minutes and the boys u 19 final lasted over 2 hours. Both were tremendously exciting matches that went down to the wire
• Brothers Harry & Hamish Falconer from Lincolnshire won the boys u13 & boys u15 respectively
• In the girls u19 final Vicki Iosson came from 1 – 0 down to beat Sophie Mullins 3 – 1
