The O3 Hybrid Hornet is at the very top of the Ektelon range and is packed with features. It has O-Ports at 12 o’clock giving a higher and more responsive sweetspot and uses power ring technology to give longer mainstrings and extra frame stiffeness.

The O3 Hybrid Hornet takes advantage of the following technologies:

Faster Swing Speed

O-ports reduce aerodynamic drag, creating a fast and manoeuvrable frame with a lightweight feel for accelerated swing speeds enabling players to reach more shots and rip more winners than ever before

Greater Stability and Strength

O3 Rackets are created through a one step fusion process that utilizes the strongest structure known to man, the arch, creating the frames O-ports. These O-ports strengthen and stabilise the frame for increased control whilst reducing torque and arm injuries typically caused by rackets that are too tight.

Power Ring

An inverted “Ring” in the throat of the frame creates longer main strings of uniform length for enhanced power across the entire string bed. Grommet-less throat increases frame durability and stiffeness.

The Hybrid Hornet is at the top of the Ektelon racket range with the same head shape as the O3 Balck and O3 Red rackets.

The racket gave a fantastic firm hit which made it one of the best rackets I have ever used on the volley, even with a heavy racketball. It also had a very high level of power due to the stiff frame.

With the Hybrid Hornet I was able to zip in drops and play effective and pacey drive kills in to the front of the court with great accuracy and consistency. The power available also allows attack from the back of the court. In all aspects this racket plays similar to both the O3 Red and O3 Black and as a result is not so great at floating in those slow drops.

The racket would be best for advanced players who are looking for top performance, but do not quite want to shell out on the ultimate Eketlon O3 Black or Red.
