Tournament Introduction

UK-Racketball are pleased to announce a new title sponsor for our up and coming Nottingham event, making the MB-Nottingham Racketball Open the 2nd event on tour to have a full title sponsorship.

On the 13th August The MANTIS FantasySquash.net PSA Final will take place straight after the racketball final so this is one event in the series that you don’t want to miss. We already have a large number of entries and have now extended the entry deadline to Monday to help promote our new sponsor MB-Nottingham. The largest squash club in the country is once again a top venue on the Harrow UK-Racketball Series. The club has the best “sole squash” facilities in the country with 10 courts (the 6 glass backs will again be used for the UK-Racketball event) and a championship fully seated show court, making it the perfect choice to hold one of the country’s top racketball tournaments.

The clubs own racketball went from strength to strength in 2010 from the first coaching sessions starting in April as part of a city council initiative to make Nottingham more active, the club now runs more than 3 coaching sessions a week. The clubs first internal leagues were added in September and this number has now grown to 3 with a possibility of a 4th being added in February. The club now has more than 50 regular racketball players and this has been reflected in the club championship draw.

Attracting the 2nd highest number of entries out of any venue in 2010 this is bound to be one of the tours biggest and best events.

Tournament Information

The tournament will be run over 1 day.

All draws and start times will be published on this page the week of the event.

All entries are guaranteed a Harrow 2011 UK-Racketball Tour t-shirt.
As the tournament is played all in one day we are planning for about a 9:30am start (although this could be later depending on entries and will be confirmed closer to the date) the finals will be around 6:00pm in the evening.

We guarantee every competitor will have at least 3 matches with the format will be either group stages through to knockout, monrad or straight knockout, depending on numbers of entries. We will always ensure that every competitor has at least three, best of three, matches. Scoring will be American to 11 and best of 3 games. The tournament is sanctioned by England Squash and Racketball and has a grade 1.5 status.

Top prises for the Winners, Runners-up and plate winners for all categories (except beginners)

New to 2011 the beginners category, just started playing, fancy a tournament, play against people of a similar standard for our new discount rate of £10.00.
