THE PINNACLE FOR THE SPORT!
As of 2024 we have kickstarted a yearly Racketball (or Squash57 to some nations) International Teams event that invites all Racketballing countries to take part and do battle across a number of age categories.
The first event in Glasgow in 2024 was a huge success, with England, Scotland, Wales and Jersey all putting forward their very best to fight it out at Over 40, Over 50, Over 60 and Over 70 age groups.
England took the O40s and 50s, Jersey the O60s and Scotland the O70s, making it a great spread across the entrants. Kudos to Wales for getting sides out in each draw despite having less of a Racketball playing set up than the other three participants.
Year on year we are looking to improve and develop this event, aiming to get more nations involved and help to spread the game across Europe (and indeed further) as much as possible.
The 2025 version will be hosted by Wales in Cardiff on 20th & 21st September, and it's really exciting to have Price of Bath as our headline sponsors, making a huge difference as to what we can do across the event, and also with how we are trying to grow the European game.
The 2025 International Teams will feature the below categories, all 4 players per side:
Men's Open
Ladies Open
Over 40s
Over 50s
Over 60s
Over 70s
We would welcome nations entering as many categories as they can field sides for!
2026 has already been agreed to be hosted by Jersey and we are looking forward to travelling over to the island for it, where the massively popular Jersey Racketball Festival has run for a number of years now.
