ranking list after event 3 - newton abbot 23rd march
Check out where you sit and who the ones to chase are HERE:
a new plan for 2024!
After taking on the UK Racketball series I wanted to try and apply the same structure and set up to Squash in my home county of Devon! This has led to the creating of the Devon Squash Graded Series, spanning the counties 4 main clubs across the season!
Spread across 4 different clubs and 8 different events through the 2024 season, we have the inaugral Devon Squash Graded tournament series!
Each of the tournaments carries a ranking point benefit which then goes toward the Series ranking. Therefore the more events you do, and the better you do in them, the higher your Series ranking gets. These events are open for players of all ability to take part in. Whether you are a local club box league player looking to get a few different games, or a County team standard player, these events cater for everyone!
The rankings are calculated as an increasing accumulation that resets at the start of each year and the end of year prize presentation will take place at the end of the final event of the year - the Series Finals event at Newton Abbot. If you choose to play Doubles as well as Singles in an event, your best finishing position out of the two will count toward your points for that event (you can't double up your points tally then.)
The Devon County Championships and the Fort Stamford Two Day event will both count as ''Majors'' and therefore points for them are doubly weighted to make them crucial to the overall Series ranking.
All grades compete in the same UK-Racketball Series ranking list. Points are equal, you do not earn more points for the over A Grade than the E Grade. All grading is done based on the Squash Levels ranking system to make it as fair and balanced as possible.
The top 5 finishers at the end of the year win prizes!
