UK-Racketball Series Finals UPDATE 7th DECEMBER
There have been a few changes to the draws and schedules ahead of tomorrow but for almost everyone I have managed to keep starting match times the same. The only major draw change has been in the Over 50’s singles, if you are in that draw then please double check it.
The club will have the bar open all day serving sandwiches, panini's, coffee and snacks.
At the end of the day we will have the end of year presentation. To familiarise yourself with the current point situation and the prizes up for grabs follow this link - http://www.uk-racketball.com/2018-series-rankings.html
Do not despair if you do not have enough points to make this years top 10. We have already lined up some sponsors for next year and the prizes are set to be even better!
I hope that you all have a really good day tomorrow.

Introduction
The final event of the 2018 UK-Racketball Series will take place in Nottingham on Saturday the 8th of December.
The National Racketball/ Squash57 Doubles will take place alongside a normal UK-Racketball Series event. Players are limited to two categories but these can be split across either event. If players don't like doubles they can just participate in the singles. If players fancy trying their hand at a National Doubles title they can focus on this.
At the end of the event the presentation will be done for the overall UK-Racketball Series champion. By the end of the 8th of December we will have run 11 events this year, our biggest Series ever! It is all still to play for going into Nottingham. Follow this link to see players standing in the Series and what prizes you can take home! www.uk-racketball.com/2018-series-rankings.html
For more details on each event see below.

National Racketball/ Squash57 Doubles Main Tournament Information
The National Racketball Doubles ran at Leicester Squash Club last year and was a huge success.
"The mixed grade was the biggest draw of the day and it did not disappoint. The local pairing of Martin Thompson and Leslie Sturgess defeated Andy and Tanya Ruff in a tight 2-1 before being beaten by Series regulars Dan and Vicky Soar. This set up a decider between the Soar’s and the top seeds in Group A. National Champion Natalie Lawrence who partnered Over 40s National runner-up Paul Johnson. It was a good match with some great retrieving from both Soar’s who consistently hung in rallies while under pressure. The hard hitting from Lawrence and ball placement from Johnson was in the end too much with Lawrence and Johnson going through to the final with a 2-0 victory" Follow this link to see the full report, results and photos!
In 2018 we started to run doubles events alongside singles events at some of our UK-Racketball Series events and this has been a huge success with some amazing doubles matches really capturing players imaginations. 2019 is set to be a big year for Racketball Doubles as we spread the word to new areas of the UK.

Nottingham Open Singles Grades
Initially we were planning to run the Series finals at Nottingham as just The National Racketball Doubles. However many regulars have yet to be converted to doubles and were disappointed not to be able to play in Nottingham and complete the Series.
The Nottingham Open Singles will run the same as a normal UK-Racketball event with the same grades and tournament structure as normal.
The Nottingham Open has been running since 2010 and is often one of the biggest events in the Series. The Nottingham tournament courts are superb, the bar is cozy and location central, this is going to be the perfect place to finish the biggest Series that we have ever run.
