A brief update on a few of our upcoming events for you all:
Leamington and Peterborough Series events: Both are now maxxed out on the entry front which is great to see. Thanks to all of you for getting your names in so early on! I do have one space in each of the Leamington O40s and O60s draws (which balances the numbers,) so if anyone wanted to take those spots please email me directly at [email protected] to sort. Similarly if you wish to go on to the reserve list for any of the two events categories, please give me a shout. British Racketball Nationals 2024: Shirts - Please can everyone who has entered this already make sure they have emailed me with their preferred tournament shirt (or vest top for Ladies if they want an alternative option) size. If you have emailed and I have replied to you then all good. No email, no shirt!! Draw Sizes - Entries are coming in really nicely for the event which is great to see. To the point where I need to be a tad concious of scheduling everything in! So I will be limiting all draws to a maximum of 32 entrants (which the Open/B/C Grade is at 22 already) to ensure there is still quality to how the tournament runs. Other draws that could be affected by this are the O50s and O60s in particular. So obviously get your names in ASAP so you don't miss out! (There will be a reserve list if we go above 32 names.) Entry can be done here: BRITISH RACKETBALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS Juniors - I am really keen to encourage the growth of the Junior event so those of you who are involved in Junior sections at your respective clubs please do spread the word for it. Junior players also get free entry in to the Men's / Ladies Open draws alongside their own draw (pending the entry size for those events) so a great opportunity for them to get some top games across the event. British Racketball Open 2024 I am really pleased to say that we already have two sponsors on board for the British Open Racketball Champs on the 5th & 6th October at Hallamshire Squash Club in Sheffield, with one more pending! Maze Property Development have come on board as our top sponsor, with the ever generous (and tasty) Abbeydale Brewery also contributing on the prize front. Those who played the Hallamshire Series event in March and the Open last year know how good their prizes are! This will mean that we will be able to increase the offering across the draws for all players on the prizes and trophy front, while still hopefully being able to do a prize fund for the Open and Ladies events. A big thank you to those two companies for their support. If anyone else in our UK Racketball community would like to be involved as an associate sponsor of the Open then please feel free to get in touch via email at [email protected] and we can go through what it entails and what we can offer in return for your support! Lots of positive signs on the Racketball front across the Series and Major events at the moment, all very exciting! See you all on court soon.
