![]() It is with great sadness that I write to let you know that long standing member of the UK-Racketball Series and devoted player Mike Keogh has passed away. Mike's very good friend Robin Soar emailed me to say. Hi Mark Sorry to report that Mike Keogh has died. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer 3 years ago but did not tell anyone. I played him 6 weeks ago and he twisted his ankle but otherwise appeared ok. A sad loss, he loved his racketball and thoroughly enjoyed playing in your series. All the best Robin Soar Over the past few months I have been copied into several emails between Mike and England Squash over the rebranding of our sport. I will not need to tell you that Mike felt passionately about racketball being recognised as a sport in its own right. He fought hard for this as he always did on court. From my personal perspective and from the perspective of the UK-Racketball Series he will be greatly missed. Someone who always gave everything on court, loved his racketball, would chat to everyone and always make people feel welcome at events. It feels strange to think that I will not see that full white kit and matching white headband at another event!

Just catching up on this very sad news. Mike was a real gentleman, put everything into his matches, and was always great fun to have around the tournament events.
